When you sign up for updates, volunteer, attend an event, or opt in to text messages, we may collect:

Name
Mobile phone number
Email address
Mailing address (for volunteer, canvassing, or mailing purposes)
Any other information you voluntarily provide

2. How We Use Your Information

We use this information to:

Send updates about FCDP meetings, events, and volunteer opportunities
Send get-out-the-vote reminders and civic engagement information
Coordinate volunteer and canvassing activities
Respond to your questions

3. SMS/Text Messaging Program

If you opt in to our text messaging program, you consent to receive recurring, automated text messages from the Franklin County Democratic Party at the mobile number you provide.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third party for any purpose. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, and you can get help by replying HELP (see our Terms & Conditions for full details).

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share limited information with:

FCDP officers and volunteers who need it to carry out Party business
Service providers who operate our texting, email, or volunteer database platforms on our behalf, under confidentiality obligations
Where required by law

We take reasonable, appropriate measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure.

6. Your Choices

Text messages: Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe at any time.
Email: Use the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
Deletion requests: Contact us at Ncfranklindems@gmail.com to request that we delete your information.

7. Children's Privacy

Our programs are directed at adults. We do not knowingly collect information from individuals under 18.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The date above reflects the most recent revision.

Program Description

By opting in, you agree to receive recurring text messages from the Franklin County Democratic Party (FCDP) at the mobile number you provide. Messages may include volunteer opportunities, event invitations, meeting reminders, get-out-the-vote reminders, fundraising appeals, and general Party updates.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies and may increase during election season. On average, you may expect 1-2 messages per month, and no more than 6 messages per month.

Cost

Message and data rates may apply. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.

How to Opt In

You may opt in by submitting a request in writing to Ncfranklindems@gmail.com. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of membership or any purchase.

How to Opt Out

Text STOP to 984-363-8103 at any time to cancel. After you text STOP, we will send one final confirmation message and you will receive no further texts. To rejoin, opt in again using the original sign-up method.

Carrier Liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and other major U.S. wireless carriers.
